Hello, my name is Cindy Lindsey, the owner of  Tidings.  Thank you for your interest in my products!

 

Ever since I was a little girl in grade school I have loved creating and working with my hands.  A love of the arts runs in my family as well.  Wonderful talents in music, watercolor painting, stitching, pottery, sculpture, and more are alive and well in my beloved family.  I’ve been blessed to have these influences be a part of myself and my upbringing.

 

I’ve tried many different crafts over the years. One area I have particularly enjoyed is beading.  There was a wonderful bead shop in my college town.  There I learned I could make my own jewelry for less cost than store bought pieces.  I’ve enjoyed the adventure of finding just the right beads to create that one-of-a-kind treasure.

 

Then in 2001, after my son was born, I began scrap booking.  This led into the absolutely unlimited possibilities of working with paper.  At the same time, a dear friend of mine opened my eyes to the world of rubber stamping and card making.  Soon “stamp night” became a weekly retreat from the adventures of being a full-time mom.  We have shared ideas, encouragement, and kind criticism.  One of those ideas was to combine my love of beading with making greeting cards.  What a fun way to add sparkle and my own personal touch!

 

I had been praying that I could find a craft I would love to do and potentially turn it into a business.  I feel the Lord has led me to where I am today and I am very thankful.  With the support of my husband, Richard, my family and friends, I decided to start Tidings in August of 2003.  My craft is ever changing as new ideas come to mind.  I hope you will enjoy the journey with me!
